Default Need advice on tires...

i have 31k miles on my pilot sport ps2's... i have to get new tires as soon as i can. i can get the ps2's for 367 a tire. my other choices were pirellis ( i forgot how much they were going for) and continental sport contact 3 for 311... which tire would be the best bang for the buck?? thanks

Default Best bang for the buck would be none of these......

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 is just a hair below the PS2 in terms of performance and significantly less expensive.

I have been very happy with the Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics.

Otherwise, I have a set of Continentals that were OEM take-off with only 400 miles on them. Drop me an email if interested. I will offer them at a great price.

i had the Pirellis as OEM, and now have PS2s...the PS2s seem a bit better.

Default good options...

I'd go with tires in this order...if price is not a concern.

1. PS2
2. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A
3. Dunlop Sport Maxx

I've used all three and they have all been great tires. Bridgestones were surprisingly quiet and superb in web. Sport Maxx were almost as good as the Bridgestones. PS2 are the best IMO.

I've also used the continentals....I drove them really hard to wear them out quicker and justify another purchase, they were absolute crap.

Default PZeroRosso as OE, PS2s until June, now F1 Assymetrics,...

Wouldn't buy the PZero Rossos - they only lasted 9000 miles.

PS2s VERY expensive now (20% increase in the last year in the UK).

Very happy with the Goodyear F1 Assymetrics - also went up in size from 255/35 R19 to 275/30 R19.
