Need Assistance..............RS4 Rear Seat removal
I was able to removal the bottom cushion with ease, but I'm having some difficulty with the backs. Does anyone have any beta??

Fold the seat backs down, remove the plasting cover over the hinge between them...
... this will expose a Torx bolt. Remove bolt, remove plate holding seat back pivots in place, be sure all electrical plugs are unplugged and cable ties are released, lift seat backs up at pivot side first then slide off hinge pins that are on outboard side of the car.

Rear Seat Removal (Bottoms)

- Remove seatbench upward at front edge and out of mounting -1- on left and right side.
- Disengage seatbench from mounting -4- on left and right, forcefully push seatbench backward to do so.
- On vehicles with seat heaters, lift seatbench far enough so that electrical harness connectors can be disconnected.
- Remove electrical harness connector for side airbag from groove.
- Remove seat bench from vehicle.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
Note:
The technical design of the rear Recaro seats is identical to the design of the rear seats with split rear backrest.
The rear Recaro seats are distinguished only by covers and cushions from standard seats.
- Remove seatbench upward at front edge and out of mounting -1- on left and right side.
- Disengage seatbench from mounting -4- on left and right, forcefully push seatbench backward to do so.
- On vehicles with seat heaters, lift seatbench far enough so that electrical harness connectors can be disconnected.
- Remove electrical harness connector for side airbag from groove.

Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Seat Removal (2/3 Backrest)

Removal:
1 - Backrest
- Fold both backrests forward.
- Unclip panels -3- from behind in direction of arrow, lever out through a hole from behind if necessary.
- Unscrew bolt -1- and remove clamp -2-.
Tightening torques for bolt -1-: 10 Nm
2 - Clamp
3 - Face plate

- Lift backrest -1- from center support -2- in direction of arrow -A- and detach from fitting -3-.
Installation:
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

Thank you for the tips. I removed them last night in about 5 minutes. I didn't relize how easy it would be. I now have the airbag indicator on the display. I'll get rid of that next week.

The reason I wanted to remove them was because a little birdie told me they weighed somewhere in the vicinity of 42lbs. After the bottom cushion was removed I thought this to be impossible, as it is light as paper, but come to find out all the weight is in the backrests. stay tuned
