I was driving very slowly, and gently applied my brakes as I approached a parking gate, and there was a really loud groaning sound, like a tugboat horn or something. I drove around the block, and it did it a few more times, I parked the car and left it for the night.

I started up this morning and could not repeat the sound.

As I was inspecting the brakes this morning, the front rotors appear to have a slightly curved up lip at the outer edge, like a mini skateboard ramp. Is this normal or are my rotors F'd? FWIW, I have 12350 miles on the car.

hard pads eat into rotors cause that,what about the rear pads that u can see,about how many mm on pads?more or less rear inner pads go bad,u cant see those,or a stone on the pads
