Default New to forum...looking to buy new '07 RS4...what should I look to

pay? Also, is it normal to have 70 miles on these things?

Is there any reason I should try to get on '08 instead?

Thanks.

Default A point of view

It appears that there may be some deals out there on '07s located on dealer lots. Hard to tell how many (see Imola (a.k.a. yellow) thread below).

Personally, I would order an '08 due to resale value over an '07. It's normal to have 70 miles. I believe mine had 20 - 30. Good luck!

Default Tx...per chance you want an Imola one? See the thread below....dealer is in the same state as you.

Email me if you need any help.

Default I hear you on resale (guess that's why the '07's currently have a

50% 3-yr residual!), but if I could get $2-$2.5k off and there is one exactly how I would have ordered it ('07 anyway...still not sure if I would have taken advantage of some of the '08 options--ie, blacked out trim), do I just pull the trigger or try to get a little more off. I will honestly only keep the car for a year or so anyway. How low can an '07 RS4 really depreciate in a year is the real question?!

Default I think the Imola really looks nice, but I personally couldn't do it as a

daily driver. I guess if I got it that cheap, it could be interesting, though. Again, I guess the real question is which RS4 ('07 vs. '08 vs. Imola) would get me the lowest effective payment over a 12-month or so timeframe?

Default If its anything like the RS6 about 10K down in value a year from now...%50 at 3 is exactly what the

RS6 is at.

Default Residuals are not that great on purpose....it is not meant to be leased, just like the RS6 was not

either.
My store probably sold about 17 RS4 and ALL of them have been bought cash or financed.

Default I wouldn't lease it either, my point was just that obviously they have

pulled down the residuals on the '07's because they have been out for 12 months and the 08's are pending release. Audi is obviously recognizing a decline in the "value" of the 07's, so there is no reason I should pay MSRP on the car. I was just using that as one reason I couldn't justify buying and '07 if I had to pay MSRP--I would just opt for the '08.
