Default New Hoen LED City Bulbs released, anyone try them yet?

I put them on order to see how they work, but does anyone have any experience with them or are they brand new?

We shouldn't have the same heating issues we had with the regular bulbs.

New Hoen LED city lights

Default Apparently, just got done talking to Hoen, they are brand new shipping this week, will post pix

Apparently, they generate close to zero heat. The only trick is that they don't like the heat generated by the high beams, but Hoen claims they have it worked out with heat improved head resistant plastic, to prevent premature bulb failure.

Default Attn: Sparkhill, interesting- Hoen claims stock bulb temp 85F and their w5w I used ran at 100F..

Regarding the city bulbs.

Not too much temp difference but enough for it to make a difference I suppose.

Default Not much different, but several of us had overheating issues...

Hoen has been very responsive the issue. I just ordered some bulbs from the link you posted. Thanks!

Default The computer may not like them...

Beware! I tried LED's in my DRL's and the computer always thought they were burnt out due to the low current draw.
I looked into trying a VAG-Com fix but no luck.
It was a real pain as the center display always showed the bulb warning.
