Default They did that to

make the M3 wins. Absolutely no way you can compare a coupe to a cabrio. "Having 2 doors" is such lame excuse.

Default Sounds like great news for a couple of reasons:

1) Audi steering better than BMW, and a comment of the shifter being better...Wow!! Those have been the trademarks of Bimmers forever. Congrats.
2) Even comparing the RS4 Cab and the M3, they gave what seemed like a half-hearted nod to the M3.
3) In two years (or so) since the RS4, BMW has only managed to catch-up, rather than come in and blow the doors off the RS4, which is a huge, huge compliment to the RS4.

Default thats sad, the RS4 steering seems distant to me.

I don't feel nearly as connected to the car as I did in the 911.

Who says a sedan (especially a RS) can't have great steering feel?

Default it will never be set up like a small 2 door coupe

it can't be. it's a sedan, that needs to wrestle around 4 doors and typically much more weight...not to mention it serves an entirely different purpose, and so goes designed in dynamics.

Default My S4 servotronic (similar to RS4 but not as nicely weighted) is pretty artificial compared to my...

2003 A4 that came with standard steering. My 2006 A4 that came with servotronic was worse as well. Ahh, technology.

you sure the 03 A4 doesn't have Servotronic? i thought all B6 had Servotronic and B7's have Servotronic II.
