New RS4 owner, ex R8 owner ...toughs
Hi,
I know, I know....I bet people is thinking that should be the other way around!
I just trade my 2008 Audi R8 (13k) for a 2007 Audi Rs4 (21k).
I'm not going to compare both cars because it will not be adequate.
The main reason of trading the R8 was that I need it a back seat and I was only using it just to go to work.
On the weekends with the family I end up using the Q7.
I used the car as a daily driver, I tracked one a month and I also burn the clutch too, for heavy racing
The car was loosing value very quick and since I pay a little over sticker,I want it sell it before the V10 comes out.
I loved the R8, and I had a hard time liking other cars (like the S5), so I decide to go with the Rs4.
Let me tell you that I'm very happy , and I don't regret it.
Aside from all the technical differences the most noticeable is the suspension, so I'm going to replace it soon on the RS4.
I'm going to mod the car a little so mare updates coming soon.
All the best!

Some people has come to me asking why I did the change, even talking me about downgrading......but I love the rs4, it feels a little more aggressive on the lower gears. The main difference on the R8 is the chassis, it handles beautiful.
I'm hopping that a new suspension and sway bars will help the RS4 (it feels very wavy)

Yes the RS4 has more torque down low than the R8. Quite noticably more. Same engine, but exhaust and intake are a little different.
I went from a 3.2 Mk2 TT to a 2007 RS4. The R8 looked virtually identical to my TT on the inside. Anyways I'm more than happy with the RS4.

Stasis is the most popular suspension choice around here, but I just replaced my stock setup with KW V3 coilovers about 2 weeks ago now and all the pitching and swaying disappeared. The handling feels so much better, especially at speed.

Yes, I'm looking into the stasis suspension. I'm taking the car to the track this weekend.
It will be nice to see the before and after (Laptimes) of the OEM and aftermarket suspension.

I'm runnin with the Stasis on my rs4 and love it. The handling is amazing. I would definitely recommend it. So are you thinking of going back to an R8 now that the v10 has been released? Pretty bad ride...

I've had the Stasis Motorsport on my car for 2 months now and the car is just phenomenal. Superb handling, no harshness to the ride. If you are going with Stasis, the adjustibility of the MS over the SL is worth the extra cost. I have really been able to fine tune the ride handling balance on my ar.

I will go with the RS5 if they released in the US, still a back seat!
