I'm a total newcomer to music downloading. I've figured out how to download and burn CD's that the RS4 will play - but now I'm stuck.

I'm trying to load music into formats I can use in the car. I can burn my own CD's into mp3's that play in the car. I can also load those same CD's onto an SD disc, and that works too.

I can download music from Yahoo, and load it into my Sansa. I can burn those songs onto CD's and those work in the car as well.

But when I try to load the Yahoo downloads onto an SD disc, the car refuses to recognize the files.

Anybody know what I need to do to sort this out?

the file could be locked like itune

if you make an audio cd from them you can create 'proper' mp3 files from it.

i've noticed the same problem with some things i've purchased from itunes. make sure the files are in .MP3 format.
