Default News Bulletin.....Better not drive in Massachusetts with your Milltek!!!!

A recent law has been passed that bans the operation of ANY exhaust that has been modified in a way such that it is louder than stock. Doesn't even matter if your car is from another state. Operation of such a vehicle in Massachusetts is now illegal. People have been ticketed for this. Check it out in the New England Forum.

Of course, a bone stock 93dB Viper is legal, but a Camry with an 88dB aftermarket exhaust is not. Go figure. There's our wonderful, intelligent legal system at work again.

Guess I won't be modding my exhaust anytime. Good thing the RS4 doesn't really *need* mods.

Thanks for the tip. I wonder if it applies to all the Harley Davidsons with no mufflers?

Default Dumb. No wonder the world is a mess when our elected officials spend time on that. So are Harleys

banded...thats way worse if the issue is noise pollution. Maybe its just another reason they can use to pull people over that they suspect may be up to other things...

Default So, do you have to leave your car at the border?

The Massachusetts Politburo strikes again.

Default that's absolutely ludicrious... so everyone with a previously modified exhaust

now has to source a stock exhaust before they can drive their cars? LOL

Default Ya, but a 1970 pickup with a rotted-out factory muffler and no brakes gets a free pass.

No surprise considering senators John Kerry and Edward Kennedy.

Default They normally don't. I got pulled over once for straight pipes...

...on a motorcycle and I told the cop it had baffles inside the pipe. He shined his flashlight in there and let me go. What a (nice) dumb a$$!
