Agree.
Hey, BMW makes fine cars. My 06 650i conv sport is a much better car than my 03 MB CL55 Kompressor, although it is far slower in a straight line. Incidentally, the 650 at 4300 lbs is no racer, but I think is faster than published times and is perfectly balanced. I have no doubt that the new 3 Series coupe is fast, especially when chipped, but try putting the power down in the wet or unless one is a very skilled driver on an oppostie bank exit ramp at speed.

As you yourself mentioned the other day, at nearly 4000lbs, the RS4 is no "ricer" either.
The RS4 is, in my opinion, the perfect combination of sport, luxury and practicality. Ok, maybe the 335 is fast, but will it go in the snow/rain as well? A Vette might beat us my a half car length on the strip, but can you put three friends and four sets of golf clubs in it?
If someone is looking for straight line performance only, this may not be the right car.
If they are looking for a big sedan that can comfortably fit four for a long road trip, this might not be the car.
But overall, the car is very fast, very fun to drive, has great storage, rear seats (with seat warmers), all the bells and whistles and Quattro. I can't think of a better combination.
