No more feathers, rattles, and beads (new forum software at last)
I'll go on record as supporting AudiWorld's move to modernize the forum software. A few potholes along the way are expected, but it will be well worth it in the end. I worry about the adaptability of some users though, especially those who freaked out with the simple color change back in December.

When I first came on here I thought this forum software was antiquated and rediculous, but...
as I used it more and more I got to understand its benefits. It is clunky and awkward with some things, but better than I initially thought.
I don't mind the switch to vBulletin in specific sections like this (B7 RS4). In fact, I think it's a good idea.
My worry is how sections like AWOT will be changed. In other (v-Bulletin based) forums I am on the off-topic sections are difficult to follow and wind up with threads months long with just a few posters. It becomes cliquey.
I'm sure there will be some rough patches along the way which will get ugly and ruffle some feathers.
One of the bonuses will hopefully be a classifieds section that isn't a joke.
People are already freaking out all over AW because of this.
Hopefully it will be for the better in the end.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it. this change is all about greed, and nothing more.
