own business and a guy in a MB S500 AMG tried to race me. I don't care for that but it was hard to resist. So I miss calculated the shift and dropped it into fifth at about 65 and had to drop it into fourth to gain a little speed. Now mind you I am still breaking the car in so I don't want the rpm's to go over 5K and I still caught him and would have easily passed him except for a wall of traffic. The whole encounter could not have lasted 60 seconds. Funny that he didn't try a second time, I don't know anything about his AMG but he must have thought it was fast to start something in the first place.

Yeah the real S55 AMG would probably have taken you.....
though not by much while in 2-digit speeds. You may have run neck and neck if you were perfect on the shifts/gear selection, etc.

Give me an S8 over the S55 any day..
I never understood the point of an ultra luxury sedan that lacks AWD. The car of that size and comfort should have maximum safety in all conditions.
I guess if you live in perfect weather its moot... But these cars are from Germany afterall, so let's get real.
