Note to self on Launches
Brace your neck bc it's going to snap back, and remove the car manual from under the steering wheel bc that goes flying also.
Launched my car for the first time yesterday, was a bit apprehensive due to all the horror stories of cluthes exploding. It seems as if the stock cltuch has no issues handling the power. Now I just have to convince myself NOT to launch the car at every chance I get.

Re: haha. that manual is dangerous as it gets all tied up in your feet at a pretty bad time!
You would think those German engineers would've accounted for the flying manual and provided a strap or something. Kind of annoying I can't find another spot to hold the manual without bending it. Doesn't fit to well in the glove box.
For launching, I turn off ESP, hold the clutch just before the "catch" point, rev the engine a couple times to 3,500-4000 rpms, on the last needle drop of the tachometer wot throttle and release the clutch at 4000rpms on the upswing of the rpms, Hold on, then get ready for quick shift to second. Hopefully you would've heard some chirping of the tires.
