Look what I picked up last night
The "other car". MB Lease was up so decided to pick up this car which was so hyped up. I got the xi sedan with sport package and all the usual nonsense. A couple of impressions:
1) Car Drives like a couch. Has NOTHING on the evo or RS4. I dont know if the coupe RWD would be better but did not like the feel at all.
2) Steering wheel is like trying to turn a lead weight
3) iDrive is actually not that bad once you get used to it.
4) iPod control and integration is MUCH better than Audi
5) TURN SIGNAL ACTIVATION BLOWS, I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH
6) Car is FAST but could not realize full potential until 1500 miles. But you can def feel the potential.
7) Rear Room is terrible, I think its smaller than the RS4.
8) No cool turbo noise like evo.
9) Car tends to oversteers alot and is easy to kick out
Lots more to do on this car, I think with a chip and a better suspension it could be fun. I put about 150 miles on it last night. Ill let you guys know once I can really beat on it.
Basically at this point, it was a $50,000 realization about how amazing my rs4 is Honestly, when I drove it home I was not shocked. When i picked up the rs4, the evo, the ferrari, I drove all the way home with my mouth open like a little kid. With this i was like meh, kinda boring.
Man do I miss my old E36 M3

agree with all your points...and you do get used to the turn indicators eventually.
with the xi, at least you don't have to feather the throttle from launch...that's the most annoying thing about the RWD 335i.

The 335Xi suspension is different..not many options on aftermarket

Turn signals...to be honest..still bug me...but I have figured them out. The one that bugged me was the rain sensing wipers..FINALLY figured that out. maybe I should read the friggin manual? NAH. Clutch is just fine..I dont know what you are talking about there. Room is not any worse or better than the RS4/B7 platform. My kids complain regarding the back seat in whatever car they have to sit in. I like that color..that was my second choice. Curious to what you think about the Xi portion..I have only driven one loaner with their all wheel drive system...but it was in dry weather..so I have no real idea what it felt like...and it was a 328Xi. The steering is better than most Audis...so I dont follow your comment there either. BTW, you need "cool turbo noise like an Evo"? Not me..no thanks.
BTW, my couch drives just fine on the track...thank you..yes, to be fair..I modded a tad.
