Default oil temp question

what would be potential reasons for a sudden increase in oil temp. aside from the obvious(bad oil, air temp, etc.). the car was at 210 degrees and all of a sudden got a check engine light and the temp instantly rose to 232. then later that night i turned the car on and got the scary blinking check engine light that turned solid so i vag'ed the car and was misfiring on 1,4,5,6,7,8. WHY ME!, anyone else ever experience something like that?

Default I've had misfires like that once before, but only for a split second at like 2100mi.

Now at 20,000 miles and I just had my fuel-pressure sensor replaced at the dealer, car feels a lot smoother now.

Not sure if that would cause your problem, but maybe bring that up with the dealer if you haven't already? Check your fluid levels obviously and maybe opt for an oil-change at the same time.

Default Bad fuel?

with all those cylinders misfiring at once and no other codes, I start with the assumption of bad fuel and work from there.

the spark plugs were burned rather bad, assuming theres no internal damage, can this be the answer?

Default Could be, but why?

When you say "burned", do you have a picture of what the spark plugs look like? What's happenging can often be diagnosed from them.

Could it be that your revo flash did something when it was turned on, which damaged the plug and caused them to misfire now.

I replaced my plugs at 25K miles, and they looked perfect.

I'm also assuming that your plugs were stock NGK Platinum with dual ground electrodes at the base.
