you low oil guys doing to your cars? The oil even looks clean.
I kept the RPM's well below what Audi states as a limit. Under 5K 99% of the time until 1500mi and only twice over 7K after that. I have not hit the rev limiter yet. I do a lot of down shifting using the engine as a break. No full throttle until today as I was a "unwilling" participant in a few races on the way home and two of the kills required full on.

My experience exactly, I followed your planed breakin. 4000 miles and faster all the time.
Total of 1/2 quart of oil added to date, changing oil this week.At this rate it might even end up more reliable and faster than a B5 S4 troll-mobile. This should start some love notes from the frequent troller's club. Ha Ha.
