ok, I just got the car up on jackstands, and already I discovered I need a tool that I don't have.

there's a curved, rectangular cross-member piece underneath the point where the exhaust connects to the downpipes. This cross-member piece is attached to the frame with 4 large Torx bolts. Anyone know what size they are? This piece has to be removed to disconnect the exhaust from the downpipes...I tried working around it, but there just isn't enough room to do it.

soooo....early morning trip to Home Depot.

Default Good luck. How are those skeeters in the morning?

That is, the mosquitos. . . not the home depot staff.

Default they're bad all the time....at least to me.

the thing I can't figure out is that my kids can be outside for hours around dusk (worst time for bugs) and then come inside with no bites. Me, I step outside into the backyard for 5 minutes and I've got welts all over the place. They do it to me on PURPOSE dammit!

Default well i've already bought 2...

...new floor jack and an impact wrench. I don't mind going to get the Torx bit, but it would be nice to know what size it is...would rather not buy an entire set, since i'll probably never use them again.

Never say never! Get the set....you "deserve" it. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Default LOL, they bother me too...

i was frequently eaten alive the time i spent in costa rica(6 months). had the citranella candles and full body off rubdowns round the clock, but still would have dozens of red welts all over my legs. thought i had scabies at one point.
