Default Ok, so how many of you out there are running spacers on factory wheels?

Have any of you picked up a vibration in the front end from it?

Default with true hubcentric spacers, there is no vibration.

I had 30mm front spacers on my old TT (to clear aftermarket brakes) with no issues.

Default Champion Installed 5MM spacers all the way around, then I got a good vibration

@ 60 to 70 mph. They re-balanced the wheels swapped out spacers and still a vibration. Now front spacers are off and vibration is gone? Champion says H&R is looking into it. I am not sure what to do...

Default the 5mm spacers i've seen aren't hubcentric.

they rely on the stock hub to mount the wheel. the problem with that is it makes the hub 5mm shorter, so vibration could be an issue. H&R will tell you it's not, but obviously it is.

for spacers to work correctly, they should have a lip protruding from the outboard side that is an EXACT copy of the stock hub (length, width, etc.).

Bob do you know if the 8mm are hubcentric? I am afraid they will scrub the wells.

Default Just change to 275-30 tires and you won't need spacers

Edge of tire will end up in the same location as a 5 mm spacer, and you'll get 10 mm more rubber width on the road.

Default actually there is an 8mm hubcentric.

I had them up front on my TT before I upgraded the brakes. Here they are on the ECS website: <a href="http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/pagebuild_v2.cgi/?imageID=7298&html=viewimage.html#">click</a>

Default there is both a hubcentric and non-hubcentric version of the 8mm spacer.

if you order them, make sure you get the correct ones. the non-hubcentric is basically an expensive paper-weight.

Default you also get about 7mm more wheel gap...assuming stock suspension.

OEM tire radius = 330.5mm
275/30 radius = 323.8mm
