can rev it past 5k, or when the engine loosens up a bit... I mean... it's a lovely car... but how the heck can you tell now what it will drive like once it's broken in properly. I'd junk the exhaust immediately...it's crying out to be lowered...if the short shift kit works, that, and a different shifter ****... the seats don't impress me much...maybe when broken in they'll be more comfortable/supportive... I would pay (and might) for better seats. Intake? Chip?
Having said all this... I may end up with one anyway... we'll see...

These are the same seats as you have in your S4 cab right? So how could you expect them to impress you?
Can you comment on the low-end torque?
I agree that its difficult to know how this will drive after 5k miles..

I didn't know about the break-in procedure, so I didn't push it...
if it's mine, or somebody else's, I didn't want to push it. I think it holds great promise.
I think I'd like it with the Euro seats (or something else... I have black sport seats from a GT2 sitting in my garage) and the appropriate tuning...I like all my cars that way. I bought a 997S with the works, trying to get out of having to 'tune' it... I'm bored in it.. I need to personalize them. So now it has a full exhaust, a custom REVO tune (done yesterday at FarnbacherLoles...Allrod gets done tomorrow!)
It's starting to have a personality.
I think all new cars are probably like that to me, they just don't hold my attention for long.
It's the tuning, the 'sound and the fury' of a hot rod, and the people who do the work that I'm there/here for.

http://www.beastsofburden.com</a

Re: I don't drive the S4 Cab, it's for my girlfriend... I'm certainly not going to flame it!
You're not going to flame your girlfriend's car, but you'll criticize the seats in the RS4 which are exactly the same? Not sure I follow.
