Default OT: BMW M3 meets Bugatti Veyron...

...not that the outcome would be very different if the RS4 was up against the Veyron.

Link

Looked like he decided to give him a pretty big head-start...

Default OMG, that Bugatti is QUICK!

Obviously, something going on at the start (he may have been just giving the M3 a head start as James suggested ... that's my guess too) but he still smoked the M3 bad.

Default Not just your regular DSG and AWD system (special Haldex). It's designed/built by Recardo in the UK.

These are the same people that built F1 trannys.

IIRC the Veyron's clutch/tranny and Haldex AWD system have to withstand the Veyron's full un-slot of torque in first and second gear and IIRC that number is an outstanding 9000 ft/lbs of torque!

Default you must mean dual...

double clutch technology, well, it's a technique, dating back to before synchronized gears.

Why run, when you can walk away from an M3.

Default Does the 2.8 second 0-60 not include the initiation of acceleration...

it took the guy almost 2 seconds to get rolling.
