Default this is OT, but how the hell do you burn a MP3 CD that will work with the Symphony II system?

I tried just burning a 'data' CD with all the individual MP3 files in the root directory...I get a 'unreadable disc' error when I try to play it in the car. I tried again burning a new disc, this time putting the MP3 files in indivdual folders, same error.

Both discs read perfectly on my PC and my home system, which has a MP3-compatible CD changer.

Halp!

BTW, I already posted this in the audio forum, but it's kinda slow over there.

Default I think the only way you can get a MP3 CD to work is in the NAV's DVD slot....

I also tried using the glove box CD player and it can't read the CD :-(

Default Assume you have the Symphony II+ headunit?

It should support MP3s, the previous Symphony II doesn't.

Default Nero has an option to burn an MP3 CD...

as opposed to a Data CD. Maybe that's the solution.

Default

That's basically taking any MP3, converting it to straight wave files and making an audio CD

Default Nope, they have the Audio CD option for that...

selecting MP3 CD burns an MP3 Audio CD, wherein you can put 140 odd songs. Here's a link to the Nero Tutorial page. Pick the Create MP3 Audio CD half way down the page.

Nero Tutorials

Default Hmm. There are two kinds of CDs... Data and Audio

afaik, what Bob did "should" be the way you would do it. Burn a data disc w/ mp3's on...
