i have milltek cat backs coming this week, but now im thinking maybe i should go all the way and get downpipes too......perhaps the catbacks will give me the sound i wont on their own.......should i go all the way for the xtra 20bhp too? will the downpipes screw my car? mixture/backpressure/overheat etc has anyone dynoed before and after full miltek

As of now there is no proof the DP's do anything, but change the sound of the car.

Ubercar has the downpipes on and ran them at Lime Rock this weekend. The sound is simply incredible. And no problems whatsoever. His car is strong.

I have downpipes and catbacks going on Thursday at EPL. I'll be doing a before and after dyno, so we'll know what the power/torque differential is.

that combined with the excessive cost and more difficult install will probably keep me from getting them.

In for a penny, in for a pound ... might as well go all the way. It does sound good, regardless of any power arguments, with the whole system. People were seeking me out in the paddock to comment on the sound of the car on the front straight. That was worth at least some of the cost. Plus, there ain't much else you can do to these suckers.

As Scott said, the car is strong. However, the driver is another issue for debate.
