I just took delivery of my RS4 (yaaaay!) and I have to part with my TT, but I'm not sure I can do with out the phatbox. Have you installed yours in your RS4? Where did you mount it? Was it a giant PITA?

Alternatively, I already own a 30GB iPod as well, which I could connect, but I'm not sure the functionality would be nearly as intergrated. Opinions?

I had it in my trunk on my B6 S4 (in the compartment to the left).

I was thinking of trying the glove box install, but don't think it will work with the 6 disc changer.

I think I'm leaning towards the spare wheel area if it will fit. This way it will be hidden, easliy accessable, and won't take up any room in other places.

I have the Ultrasport Sal cable that allows me to have both Sirius and Phatbox.

I gave up my Phatbox and use the SD slots. Superior, imho.

The 8 gb won't even hold 1/4 of my Phish collection.

My phatbox used to basically just recycle the same 20 albums (the latest 20 I bought), despite having over 200 on the drive. So I'm not really missing those other 200. Plus I like the song info display.

Admittedly, navigating via voice rather than scrolling the wheel while trying to drive is easier.

if you take out the left rear side carpeted panel there's a spot that will just barely fit the Phatbox if you shave off both sides of the aluminum fins. The cartridge sticks out a little but the door trim does close.
