Come join him at this smashing event! Trust me, it might look like a lot, but it's $ well spent, just like your RS4! Plus if you're nice, I'll let you drive my S4. :-P

On October 9th, 2007 the New Jersey Chapter will be coordinating the 2nd annual Bertil Roos Enhanced High Performance Driving Event (HPDE+). This event combines the benefits of a regular High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) with the excitement of driving a real race car, all under the direction of a fully accredited racing school.

Participants will receive two twenty minute on track sessions in the Formula Dodge race car, two twenty minute on track sessions in your personal car, classroom instruction and use of a helmet and driving suit will be provided for the entire day.

A boxed lunch will also be provided this year. For a full writeup of last year's event, please click <a href="http://nj.audiclubna.org/events/06/BertilRoos_Summary.html">here</a>.

The cost for this event is: $695 for ACNA members and $745 for non members.

This event was sold out last year.<ul><li><a href="http://acnanj.webstore.us.com/product_info.php?cPath=64&amp;products_id=229">Sig n Up Here</a></li></ul>

Default Wow! Seat time on that formula dodge sounds awesome...

and I really need to start driving on other tracks elsewhere other than the few local tracks I keep going to.

I'd be all over this event if it weren't for the fact that I'm running the chicago marathon two days before it. So I don't think I'll be recovered enough to drive effectively especially heel-toeing into corners, let alone trying to wedge a sore body into a formula dodge. I know excuses excuses... but next year I'm all over this!

If I wouldn't attend the Mont Tremblant a week prior, I'd be there.

Parikh,

Is this a beginner school? I've done four of the Skip Barber schools including the 3 day racing school so I've driven the Formula Dodge's several times.

I've also done about 30 HPDE's in my own car (not the S4).

The price looks great, but would it be too easy for someone with a lot of track expericence?

Default easy for you to say since you live in the east coast. I don't see you attending any midwest DE's...

in my 'hood.

If you do, there is an abundance of well set-up B5 S4's that will blow away our RS4's. I know this from experience. B5 S4's not only in excess of 450hp's with hybrid turbos but also well sorted suspension, brakes, etc, and some are even stripped down and have full cages.

Btw, what pads are you running for the track these days? I've gone through a set of rotors and about 4 sets of oem pads now. I'm tired of the oem pads and how costly they are for how little they last. I just got a set of Pagid RS14 blacks and going to try them at Gingerman in michigan in a few weeks.

Default lol, i used to live in michigan....the B5 thing was a joke;)

set up a track day somewhere and ill drive the RS4 out with a stop at ann arbor. Def thinking of upgrading the brakes. Just went through a set of rotors and luckily they gave me a set on goodwill. Next time they wont be as nice. You think I can get more use out of the rotors with better pads?

Default P.S. its not really too much about being easy or hard. Think of it as another HPDE with the added

benefit of taking sprint cars out. Its all about having fun with your audi buddies on the track and BSing about how my RS4 is faster than every B5 and B6 S4 out there except the dolphin grey B6 S4

sounds like a great event. Think this would be good for a first timer?
