Pennzoil Synthetic 5W40 Euro Formulation FYI...Carquest Auto Parts has it.
$5.65/qt. I'm in the middle of nowhere in E PA and the local store carries a 3 case stock and more is available Mondays if ordered. I believe Carquest is a national chain. I was surprised at their stock of Euro formula oils.

CarQuest is a franchiser basically. They partner with independant parts stores to offer many of their products, which are reboxed OEM in most cases. Think of it like TrueValue hardware relationship with the hardware stores that carry their name alongside the actual name of the store.

Fantastic. Are you going to try it?
If you do, get an analysis at 3K miles on the oil from Terry Dyson and see what his comments are. Between you and Mike, you'll be able to share data on different oils running in the S4. Enlist a few others to sample different oils that they might be running, and you'll have a good database in no time, and be able to make more informed decisions about oil.

Yup...3 cases. Change out before LRP next month. :) Story along with it...
Visited Carquest looking for lawnmower oil (synthetic). They also had the Shell Rotella T Syn for my TDI. I was a happy boy when I walked out.

lol...Carquest 10w-30 Premium Synthetic at $3.50/qt.. :) The Rotella T is...
CI-4 Plus, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4, CF/SJ, SL. The VW dealer is using Syntec Fully Synthetic 5W-40 for the TDI.

Ah, well, it's gonna be a long time for the 3K oil analysis. S4 has 7,600 miles since new, lmao....
Garage queen and HPDE's 3x per year. Three-fourths of the mileage is driving to and from the events...better than a Motoman break-in.

I'd suggest the new Rotella T CJ4 next time
It has some incredible qualities, since it has to work with low sulfur diesel, and has to make up for the lubricity of sulfur in the fuel.
