I am considering 2 cars, identical - one is an 08 new, and the other is an 07 with 20k.
I'm trying to figure out if its worth it to try to negotiate the new one low enough to make it worth the swing.

Sorry, I forgot to say that I put down $2K also. I think this is an easy decision, I was in the same boat. At any rate, the choice is yours, but if prices are good, why not break the thing in yourself new. I just figured, does anybody who buys this car knowing after 1 or two years they will trade, putting 20K on it, really think about how hard they are on it?? Especially with a car of this caliber, who knows how much abuse it has taken....

decision could go other way - for less $$ you get a warranty until about 100k and 2 extra years
this is of a possibly bigger value, I usually keep a car for 7 years (or longer if no one stole and totalled it) - for me , having a 100k warranty that lasts until 2012 or 100k is a big value
