Default For people who have gone from the S4 to the RS4.....

Was it worth it?? Everyone has some favortite back road on the way home, does this car handle roads like that any easier than the S and if so is it more the feeling you get from the car or are you able to push the car harder?

Default Agree with Bob's answer. This car has higher limits and more control as you get there.

The car translates road "feel" better and exhibits much less body roll. The fit and finish are superior to the already high level of the S4. The motor is hard to describe. It is an awesome blend of smooth and raw shrieking power. Maybe a "Jeckel and Hyde" type motor personality controlled with your right foot.I feel the brakes are wonderful, but I have not done any track time so the "waggle" when braking form 150 mph hasn't been an issue for me.

Default As an B6 S4 owner, I have been debating the same thing for months....

and last night I finally got to drive an RS4 with 1700 miles on it. What a ride! It is very different than the S4 (and I love my S4). The throttle response is much faster, better steering/brakes..... etc, etc. But what has me sold on this most of all is the exhaust note. Absolutely intoxicating! Sounds mean and angry.... I am still smiling just thinking about it. To be honest, I will rarely (if ever) have the opportunity/ability to drive this car at its limits, but I everyday I can hear that sound and smile!

Default I was modifying my S4 Avant to be BETTER than the RS4...

Was just waiting for S/C. Anyway, while in Germany I was able to drive an RS4 Avant as a comparison/target. Although my S4 was great, I quickly realized the RS4 is more than the some of its parts. MAYBE the S4 Avant would have been faster after S/C. She definately handled great. But the RS4 does all that plus more right out of the box and a lot smoother. The only mod I miss is the StaSis rear diff. Although I'm lovin' the Milltek. I wouldn't mind having my alcantera seats back though. For asthetics only, no issue with comfort.

Bottom line for me, ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT ! !

Default Never, ever, ever drive an RS4

Unless you're ready to order one. Everything about this car is superb. It makes me want to be a better driver.
