Default Picked up my Avus/Black/Myrtle Nutmeg Trim/Premium...Best Sports Sedan on the Market.

This car is solid from top to bottom. I thoroughly enjoyed driving it this weekend, and really couldn't get enough time on the road. I traded in my 2004 S4, and this car definately raises the bar.

I test drove an M5 prior to buying the RS4, and I had the same complaint as I did when I chose the S4 over the RS6...the M5 and RS6 both feel like "big" cars, while the S4 and especially the RS4 have that small car handling feel...ship vs. motor boat feeling.

I am anxiously awaiting getting through the break in...tough to be patient in this regard.

My only complaints:

1. No spare tire...I am ordering a spare to keep in my garage so all I have to do is get it towed to my house to replace it...my S4 had a flat a few months ago and I was thankful for the spare.

2. I do not like the grey plastic front bumper/license plate holder and grey plastic lower portion of the rear bumper, so I am having these painted to match the rest of the car.

Other than these minor issues, this is, in my opinion, the best small sports sedan on the market.

I will post pics in the near future.

Default You should NOT have been given a gray front filler panel - it is for the S4.

The RS4 should have satin black filler with brushed aluminum strips. Several of us have replaced this with the S4 titanium package filler panel (satin black with black strips).

Some have painted the filler panel as you suggest but I don't like it. It makes the car look old school (i.e.: B5 platform). Of course that is just my taste and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I would love to see some photos of the Myrtle nutmeg trim.<ul><li><a href="http://webpages.charter.net/parkhill/RS4/DIY/FrontFillerPanelInstallation.pdf">More info here</a></li></ul>

In the Bay Area in Northern California, in many cities it is required by law to have the license plate holder mounted by the dealers on the car. I am in one of those cities, so the cars come to the Audi dealership with the grey/black plastic license plate holder instead of the front bumper with the painted chrome borders.

Default Many of us had to order the filler panel because our cars came with the plate holder.

I was afraid that somebody swapped your RS4 filler for one off an S4.

Default The Myrtle Nutmeg trim looks good

It was a little shocking at first since I have grown so used to seeing my CF.
