coming from the center console or ashtray area. Anyone know anything about this? I can't believe they didn't notice this during pdi.

Other than that, it's going to be difficult to adhere to this 1,500 mile break-in period.

Default Rattling brings out the obsessive compulsive disorder in me.

I hate to hear it, but when it starts, I find myself listening for it. Is it still there? No.. wait, yes. Does it come from there or there? (It used to happen in my Bimmer, but not in my RS4.)

For your health's sake, take the car back to the dealership and make them fix the problem. The joy of driving the RS4 should not be tainted by any rattling.

At any rate, congrats on owning one heck of a car!

Default Are you sure it's not the infamous center armrest rattle. We all have it. Sucks......

I also think in a $74,000 car, the center armrest shouldn't interfere with the parking brake functioning properly.

Default Pretty sure. I had my fiance ride with me just to make sure I wasn't being too ridiculous

and there is a definite, unmistakable, rattle. Funny, though, every time she bent forward in her seat the rattling stopped. It was almost like clockwork: she would lean back and it would start back up and then lean forward or over toward the center console and it would stop.

Default I was just telling my buddy how it never happend on any of my BMW's...

Yeah, I'm definitely going to take it back I just don't want them to start ripping the car apart--once they take it apart and put it back together it never fits just right.

Maybe I'm just lucky? But I don't have a center armrest rattle.
