Default Please help fitting Velocity RS4 reps on B7 RS4

I went to have my 18" winter rims and tires this morning. Despite asking all the right questions (do they fit on the B7 RS4? Do they need spacers?)... they didn't clear the front brakes.

I bought the Velocity 18" RS4 replicas fitted with Dunlop Wintersport M3's (I think they are 245/40/18).

I called Velocity, they didn't sound very confident re fitting on RS4 but "will call me back"...even though I was very clear all along that they were for a B7 RS4. I still haven't heard back and the garage where I was having them installed sounded very grim about them fitting even with spacers. I fear it may now be a big mess.

Anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

Thanks

M

Default The Velocity RS4 reps are 38mm and oem is 29mm. Your going to need at least a 10mm or more spacer.

If you want. You could contact High Performance Autosports in Montreal (514)271-6688. The owner, Steve has a RS4 as well. Maybe he could suggest something.

they should be giving the spacers to you for FREE - sucks. It's their mistake....

Default I've had this problem with the hartmanns.........get the stock rims.......

Just before shipment, I was called telling me I will need spaceers to clear the front brakes..WTF??? I went with the 19" replicas with Dunlopo 3ds. THey are currently in the mail with 15mm spacers........Should maintain that wide stance look, and better, I pray fit the car...All in all it has set me back about 3 grand, which is what someone here paid for the stock rims from audi with their winter set, TPMS included.....

I'll post the pics and let you know how they look....but I way return the rims, call audi and get the stock rims and mount em up....not worth the hassle.......

and lug bolts.... since a 10mm diff is pretty big the lugs will need to be longer also.

Default They offered to machine ones for me

That's not the issue. I just hope the fricking things fit...it's going to snow for a week here (in Montreal) and I have high performance summers on! Thank god for the wife's XC90!

Default sounds fair. I know quattro rocks in the snow, my concern has always been

other drivers. I'd hate to total/damage my car and it not be my fault
