Poll: Carbon Fiber Parts...
Having some prototypes of a few items done to see the quality from a new manufacturer. The pieces I'm thing of doing are:
Front Splitter
Grill Filler Panel
Insert/Cover for the Side Bumper Vents (Similar to the AMG SLK 55 Asia Experience)
Mirror Housings
Roof Panel
Rear Windo Spoiler
Rear Valence
Roof Antenna (someone else is already having this done, but through the same source)
Who would be interested in any of the above and are there other things anyone else would like to see?

roof panel..hmm.
are you saying this would be a piece that would replace the OEM sunroof? is the sunroof "removable" without doing irreversible damage? if so, I'd hit that. particularly if we're talking about a significant weight savings. another idea would be to develop a molded CF piece to replace the entire rear seat assembly. that would interest me. the other stuff you mentioned would just be cosmetic.

The roof panel will be easier to do on Sunroof delete cars...
Not sure how much of a weight gain it will be, but I would safely guess 10lbs or so. For cars with a sunroof, it would require complete removal of the sunroof assembly and a new headliner or leaving it out. For now I'm really only trying to do cosmetic items as they are cheap and easy to reproduce, but I am open and willing to look into more and larger items if the market demand is there.
