Default Premature Brake rotor run-out?

I have about 7,000 miles on my RS4 and have been to 1 DE track day. I have recently noticed at highway-speed braking the shimmy that is traditionally associated with rotor warping or run-out. I also notice when approaching a complete stop the "pulsing" feeling of the pads hitting high and low spots on the rotors. Anyone else experieincing this at such low mileage? Don't want to get fleeced at dealership. Warranty cover this??

Default Not likely...

That should be warranty I would think - just don't tell that that the car has been tracked.

FYI, rotors very rarely warp. The pulsation that you feel in the pedal is pad deposition, and there's a few things you can do to avoid it in the first place (proper bed-in, proper cooldown laps, don't use parking brake when hot, etc), and possibly fixing it yourself (use of an abrasive pad on the street inbetween track events)). Default My b6 rotors are robust as hell. Yours are more better. I concur with the boys below.

Street pads prolly need some sort of bedding in before track days.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/46559.phtml">samo-samo</a></li></ul>

Default You can ruin the rotors on track...

I know because Milltek Sport went through two sets at track events during their ownership. Hopefully you just have pad deposits. Let the dealer check it out. -Pete, Stratmosphere. 1.866.533.1777

Default Pad deposit overrated...

I'm willing to bet his are warped, based on the description. Rotors can warp, even HP rotors. Sometimes you just get dud batches that have hot spots or other deficiencies in the mfg process.

Default Followed Bed-In Procedure

I did (7) 60 -10 MPH aggressive stops on my way in to work (early! barely any traffic). Then about 20 minute highway shot with no braking. Off ramp and entry to work parking lot seemed to be back to normal feel. I will continue to monitor the situation and let you know if this procedure corrected the problem. Thanks to all for the advice!
