Problem: Tire/Wheel won't hold air
My RF tire will hold air all day long if parked but after about 15 minutes at highway speed my TPS light comes on and I have about 20 lbs in the tire. I had a shop put a new tire (all 4 replaced) on last week and they said they found the valve stem (metal) loose. When I drove the car for the first time this morning, same thing happened. I soaked it with soap water when I got to work after filling it back up and no apparent leaks. Any ideas??

SAME PROBLEM!!
my rear driver side tire is leaking air..not as severe as yours but about 5-10 psi every 3 weeks when driving and about 5 psi when the car was parked for a month
this is a pretty slow leak and i took it in 2 times to audi service and they found absolutely no leaks. they tested both times by soaking the tire and they mentioned that next time they test they want to overfill it (about 70psi) and maybe that will reveal the small leak. i cant find time to go in for that but nevertheless they said if they cant find the leak, even if it is leaking, they wont replace it even though i have tire/wheel insurance

yeh i figured that could be the answer also...
but if it does have the crack, they should have found it when they drench it in the soap water mix...they claimed that they covered teh entire wheel and tire

Wonder if the seal around the stem leaks as the wheel/tire warms up?
Just guessing but maybe the cool soapy water cures the problem instead or showing the leak. The other things that comes to mind is cross-threaded stem or stripped threads due to overtightening. Hope it all works out OK.
