PSA - Multiples Avail on CA lots
History repeats itself...w/o going back and pulling all of the posts about the 'rarity of the car'...and how you'll never see discounts, etc...blah blah blah
I've randomly stopped at 2 dealers in CA within the last two weeks. Both had 3 on the lot.
This happened with S4, S6, RS6, RS4, you name it. Honestly, I think AoA are doing a better job at being careful not to flood the market. It's good for you owners and resale.
But...If I were a buyer...(not, unfortunately)...the outlook is getting better as the end of the run is nearing. As usual.
For the record:
Stevens Creek: 2 Daytona, 1 black
Downtown LA: 1 Imola, 1 Sprint, 1 black
Lasher: 1 black (from earlier post today)
Niello: 1 ?
And I'm not looking for an RS4...I've been thinking of a people mover like the Q7. Hence my info on the sac dealers.
Good luck for those shopping,
DD

I saw one silver and one black at stevens creek, on the showroom floor...friday did you actually go there or are you just basing this off online inventory inventory?

"The End is Near" :-O just being overly dramatic...
As were those saying there was "no way there these will (insert choice here)" 'ever be widely available, avail at discount, avail w/o long wait, etc...'
Great car...wish I owned one. If anyone actually believes all the B5S4 v. RS4 bunk, I'd be happy to trade anyone here. Sorry, you'll need to buy any mods. I like the idea of a sporty, stock ride. ala RSs...
P.S. To John...see your VW/audi stable with Treg. Should I go...3.6 Q7...5.0 Treg...or hold off for the Q7 tdi? The Q tdi wait reminds me of the S4 avant order wait...I'm not up for it this time. Need a fix now.

Some of it depends on how many seats you need, as well as what engine you want.
If you need 7 seats, or want the TDi, get the Q7. If not, I'd look really closely at the new Cayenne.
The pictures of the new Treg that I have seen aren't very appealing to me, and I really like the look of the new Cayenne. I'm still getting used to the look of the Q7.
Some feel that the Treg is not sporty enough - I ended up puting Cayenne S suspension on my Treg to stiffen it up a bit as it was too soft for my tastes.
I'd suggest driving them, see what you think. Much of the decision will come down to personal preference on both how they drive as well as looks.
Plus, the Q7 and the Cayenne are more comparable price-wise.
HTH,
John
