Question about Golf Tee Mod (pinging ELEVENS)
I am finally going to try this mod. I was looking at ELEVENS's guide. Unfortunately, it is missing a couple of photos (the last two ones). Does any one have pictures or more instructions.

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/19561.phtml</a

Just pull off the vac line to the valve and plug the line. Get under and look and you will see.
I have this on our R32 as well but on that you lose a bunch of low end torque. For the RS it seems just a noise thing with the flap at the tail pipe, comment someone? I never had the stock exhuast on this car.

I did mine a little differently
I disconnected the black rubber hose at the chassis end (small plastic tube routed in the chassis) not the muffler end.
I purchased small vacuum caps at the local NAPA and placed them over the plastic lines to seal the vacuum leak. I used the golf tee just to keep dirt out of the hose, which I left connected to the muffler and tucked into the bumper.
Personally, I greatly prefer the always open sound of the muffler now. I would prefer Tubi, but this cost $2.89 for caps, not $4000 for new mufflers. It sounds better than stock and is a lot more budget friendly.
Also, I never liked the overly sensitive throttle mapping of the SuperMan button. I prefer the longer throttle travel and more linear response with the S button off. I find RPM matching easier and I am smoother. I had problem being smooth with the S button on, but maybe I have a neurologic problem. I have been accused of such, and worse.
It is really easy. Really.

Sorry, asleep at the wheel...
Just plug them with whatever screw or plug you have, making a good, tight fit. It would also be a good idea to cap the solenoid to keep dirt and moisture out of there.
Cheers!

Re: Question about Golf Tee Mod (pinging ELEVENS)
why not try to master S mode shifting. it's definitely a bit tricky getting off 1st for me using S mode since i've only been driving the car about 3 weeks, but i like how responsive it is to petal movement and torque feels available faster on the low-end using S.
im trying to practice rev-matching more it's the best way when using S mode and i think the clutch loves it (mechanically speaking).
my other car has 80k miles with original clutch, and is still going.

There are two reasons for me
1. I can't remember to turn it on each time I drive
2. It is quicker but definitely less smoother. I really noticed it on the track. The instructor really wanted me to have smooth throttle. I did better without the S mode.
I still like to turn it on some times. Fortunately, with this mod, you still can.
