Default Question about our rotors. Why is the front right one the only one that is going a different

direction? That one goes the direction my Stop Tech's went, while all of the other 3 go the other direction. I've looked at some of the pictures of other member's rotors thinking that mine was just put on wrong, but everyone's right front is going a different direction. Just curious.

Looks like only one part number for front rotors on this setup

I guess they're not directional then.

Default I noticed that as well. I thought it might have been an oversight by the factory but I noted that..

the two at the dealer were the same. Seems odd to me. Maybe the big engineer brains have a reason for it!?

I don't have an RS4, just noted it at the dealer!

Need closer inspection of the vanes, but you could be right.

Default Would be tough to make them directional.

The holes would have to change directions in the middle of the disk, since the holes go all the way through and the brake caliper grips both sides.

Default Left handed assembly line worker?

Just kidding, but I would want mine to all be the same especially if some units have all the same type.

Default Not uncommon...

New Corvette, MBZ, BMW, etc. Many models have only one directional rotor used on both sides. It can be argued that this could build up more heat on one side than the other, but it would only manifest in severe (track) conditions. Tought to make that happen on the street. Remember the pads on any of these vehicles OEM are not track pads. Pads need to be replaced with appropriate compounds for track days.

Default whoa...trippy.

mine's exactly the same, only the left front is unique. hopefully there's a good explanation...and not a bad explanation.
