rattling from the armrest and cupholder area
Does anyone have any issues on rattling from the armrest console? It started for me around 800 miles...been very annoying. I don't know if this has ever been an A4 issue, or if this is isolated. It's not like anything is broken. There's just a lot of squeaking and rattling going on.
I'm taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

sorry I hate rattling anything, especially rattling speakers
but I have not noticed any rattling whatsoever in my RS4.
I hope it is something easy to fix... Good luck and let us know what happened.

Mine is doing it too.
It is more of a squaking noise and seems to be related to the drivers seat moving as well. I've been too lazy to actually look at it but it is getting annoying. I figured on having my dealer look at it upon the first service if I cannot figure it out.

DING DING!
Cars do rattle, but with high-end cars it's more commonly a PICNIC (Problem In Chair, Not In Car). For example, I've noticed rattles are usually something I did - a rattling water bottle, something I put in the arm rest storage compartment, metal part of seat belt hitting something hard, keys, etc. Check all the non-car items and see if that might be the prob.

Found out the problem
Apparently there were some pieces rattling around the gearbox area
They removed the center console and lined the pieces in felt.
I haven't picked up the car yet...they have a part on order....neutral starter broken
