Recommended RS4 Winter wheels and tires

contact tirerack or hartmann wheels for some good options, that's what most of us have...
unless you don't mind spending $500-600 per wheel for the 18's that audi sells specifically for the RS4, plus tires.
Also, depending on where you are, you can also probably get away with using a spare set of the stock 19's with winter rubber.

Just to elaborate on what Larry said...
For optimal performance on snow and ice, you should get 18" wheels with 225 or 235 width tires. Higher profile, narrower width, tires perform the best in winter conditions.
Most of us have a dedicated set of wheels/tires for winter. If you are getting new wheels, especially if there are 18" wheels, make sure that they will clear the front brakes.
Dunlop M3's are excellent winter tires as are a few others. You can get the Dunlops in 225/45-18's and 255/35-19's. Whatever tire you chose, make sure it has the proper load ratings for the relatively heavy RS4. The tire should also have a decent speed rating.
The OEM 7 double spoke wheels that come on the RS4 look great but are difficult to clean. You can choose a simpler design for your winter wheel if you are concerned.
I chose to go with a second set of the stock wheels with 255/35-19 Dunlop M3's. I do not plan on a tremendous amount of ice/snow driving and the compromise on the performance made sense for me. With Quattro, traction control, etc., I feel that the RS4 with any winter rated tire will perform fairly well.
Another compromise would be an all-season tire on the stock wheels. You would lose both summer and winter performance but should be able to get by in most circumstances.
My final note: Do not drive on ice or snow with your summer tires. You will find you have close to zero traction.

sounds right. the oem 19's are actually cheaper than the oem 18's for the RS4...
I was quoted $380 for the 19's and $540 for the 18's or something like that.
