Removing the Cig lighter from front ashtray?

Removing the Cig lighter from front ashtray?
So I have been installing my carbon fiber trim, and have actually gotten the front ashtray out, however I need to disconnect the 12v/cig lighter from the wires in the back somehow. Does anyone know how to do this. Thanks in advance

You have to pull the whole ashtray assembly, which if I remember correctly means pulling the radio..
and climate control housing. It's very easy, you just have to get the radio removal tools. I believe there are also two torx screws holding the ashtray assembly in.

I recall that there is a wire connector tucked back in there that can be reached
and disconnected without pulling the radio or the climate module. On the other hand, I had my shift boot and trim off at the time, as I was installing a short shifter. Try fishing the connector out without removing anything else first; I recall the wires are long enough.
