Default Resonator question

Hi to all! The question is - can an aftermarket resonator make the exhaust louder than the stock resonator does?
I got Tubi installed last month and it isn't as loud as I'd hoped it would be. I don't want to install a straight centre section cause I'm afraid it might start to drone. I found out supersprint sell resonated centre sections for Rs4 and was wondering whether I should or should not install it.

if straight pipe done by a good muffler shop no drone, I initially removed resonators with straight pipe and then a year later installed Tubi , no drone what so ever but its load and it seems like that is what you want but sounds awesome especially under hard throttle.

I thought the H adapter replaces the resonators from ecstuning- Most who installed them like the sound

If I'm not mistaken, the drone doesn't depend on quality of the product. It is quite a common thing for non-resonated exhausts. I've had a few cars before with straight pipes and they all did that. That's why I'm afraid, cause especially during long trips on a highway it might become uncomfortable.
What kind of pipes do you have? Custom? How loud your exhaust is for a daily driver?

I had straight pipe fabricated by an independent muffler shop in Louisville,Ky and the guy does excellent work, of course this was before ECS came out with their solution and to answer your query the Tubi is louder for intown driving because of stop and go pattern/ accel and decel patterns, on highways until u gun it you will even forget you have it on the inside , outside ppl will know u have something special!
Believe me no drone , my wife drives my car SOMETIMES and has never complained of droning, my parent 73/65 y old whenever they visit never complain.

As far as DD I'll tell you its loud for local driving if you like pulling at greenlights and stuff if not then not loud.
Hope this helps.

I installed the ECS H-Pipe and like the sound with the stock looking mufflers. Yes there is somecabin drone around 2-3K rpm under load (accel), but nothing at cruise in the same rev range. Just make sure you buy the Audi exhaust clamps, they work really well and give it that finished look (for those poking around underneath).
