Default until proven differently.

If they answer my questions sufficiently, I'd be willing to load the code and throw my car on the dyno, and do some same-day back and forth testing.

But ... I find it interesting that the 1st post we see from Revo is on the R8 board, not the RS4 board, and that it took my skepticism to pull any real data out of them.

Default i agree

these claims of power gains, sadly, are always dubious. and there just isn't much room for improvement with the RS4.

what did you think of his kw power % gain? i mean, as a %, it shouldn't be lower than US measurement, which is shown as being higher. a raw number, yes, but %?

I love the gains that are less than the dyno tolerance of +/- 5%

Default REVO code is crap.

Heck, they didn't know that you could log more than 3 channels simultaneously until i told them how . . . .

Default in all fairness, is he(Robin) a Revo technical guy or sales guy?

Default The gains are in raw numbers not percents. The dyno variance is definitely an issue...

with 10hp or less mods, or more accurately put the environmental and vehicle and procedural variances. You pretty much have to get 5 or 10 cars and do a boatload of before and after runs and make sure the averages are backing all the results so you can say statistically if you are getting gains or not. Tough sell. MTM doesnt even advertise gains with their RS4 software but rather a removed speed limiter. The S4 leaves little to be gained in the upper rpms although it does benefit in the lower rpms. From what Scott has said this appears true for the RS4 and it was Revo is kind of hinting at saying they only saw 8hp gains but 20tq gains. If you look at the timing retard you see quite a bit up top but not as much at all down low and when APR looked at the MBT maps there was room for improvement down low. Not a lot.
