Default Revo Tune. Well worth it...

I just came back from doing the tune and the most remarkable thing is the improved torque response. As of late, I have been feeling that the throttle seemed a bit languish, but not at all after the flash. For now, a big thumbs up.

Default While I have heard good things about the REVO set-up, keep in mind that......

Any time you disconnect power to the ECU, it will reset to certain standard parameters that tend to optimize power delivery. Over time it will readjust based on input parameters. Part of what you are feeling may just be the effect of having the ECU pulled. Time will tell. The real test is to get another RS4 owner to drive you car in about a week after ECU adaptation has occurred. If he/she can still feel a real difference, the change is significant. This assumes of course that your car and his/her car are otherwise in a similar state of tune.

I have disconnected power to the ecu in the past, and this is a lot more significant.

Default This revives an old debate....

I have seen again and again on this forum that the Revo flash is well worth it, but no one posts dyno results.

Does anyone have dyno results from before & after the Revo tune?

I've gone as far as finding and speaking with a local Revo technician to do the tune, but I have not been convinced it is worth doing - other than subjective evidence.

I have, however, heard of people who did the tune and restored the car to stock because results were less than expected.

Input please...

Default Great news then. Do you know.....

if it is standard tune or do they have options based on other mods and/or fuel choices?

Default I felt the same way. I really wasn't going to do it, but

I just thought I would take advantage of the waterfest special. I'm really just glad I did. The car really feels like it's pulling much harder now.

Default From what the tuner was telling me...

The ecu will recognize aftermarket mods like the catback and adjust accordingly. It is a standard tune. With the optional switch you can program for different fuel grades and also back to the stock program.
