Thule would probably have the best one out there.

Default dump 5 grand on a beater truck/suv

I have an S4 2005.5, and am considering upgrading to the RS4. I am a huge biker..MTN/Road. I had a nice thule that went on the trunk, and was VERY well padded. Yet it was a pain in the ***....Spent 4500 on a used toyota tacoma.......A roof rack would take away way tooooo much from this car....

I hear what you are saying, however doens't a roof rack add to the disguise? And if you think the wife is going to let me spend one more $ on anything automotive other than a new chamois, you have been drinking too much of Dxbens bordeaux!
But i appreciate the input!
What do you ride for road?

Default I've always used Yakima, but Thule is also good. I'd stay with one of those brands though.

Default A beater truck is no fun to drive. Stay away from Thule...

...on the highway (on the wifees Caddy SRX), those Thule round roof cross bars howl like monster truck tires. Try Westin, very quiet and better looking, too.

the fairing eliminates that problem.

Default I have the Saris rack for my B5. Not sure if they make the clips for a B7 yet. They are quiet

even without the fairing. Easiest to put on/take off and looks the best of all the brands IMO.
