Default Rotor removal -- frozen?

Hi guys:

I am trying to swap my rotors. Calipers are off, set screw is out on the rotor, but the rotor is not budging. I banged away on it to no avail. Are there any rings or other securing things that I might have missed? I sure didn't see anything.

I have everything soaking in PB Blaster right now, but it isn't looking good.

Any words of wisdom from those that have swapped RS4 rotors before??

Only 1 set screw...the other hole on the rotor is just a blank hole (not threaded). On prior cars I have had those holes are threaded so you can screw a bolt in to extract the rotor.

I have banged on the rotor a ton. Either it is extremely frozen or there is something I am missing here. Usually, the only thing holding the rotor on are the wheel bolts, the set screw, and the caliper/caliper arms. All are out of the way right now.

Grab a piece of wood like 5 inch by 1(foot)( I used piece of a fence post I cut) lay it on the top part of the rotor. Take a sledge hammer and give it a gentle hit on the wood. I had a rotor on my 02 VW that would not budge. It pretty much jumped off the axle after the second hit. I used a rubber mallet and a hammer and it would not even move. With the sledge it came right off.. On the new rotor put some anti seize along the rotor lip that touches the hub.

cheers

I had to use a wheel puller to get my S4 rotors off

After trying everything I possibly could (including hitting the rotor with a sledgehammer!), I gave up when the rotor would still not budge. I was at the point where I was nervous that if I damaged things and still could not get the rotor off, my car would be unusable and need to be towed.

I put everything back to how it was. I guess I will have to visit the dealer after all....
