RS4 is back home from the shop...here's the good, the bad, and the ugly.
the good: chain rattling noise is fixed, and they replaced my mysteriously disappearing lower front spoiler free of charge.
the bad: (well not really)...cost to replace the left side radiator fan would have been $450, if not for the warranty. $268 for the part and $182 for labor. seems like a lot to replace a stupid fan, but what are ya gonna do.
the ugly: the friggin' DIP**** tech left my car with the dreaded 'hood gap' between the bumper cover and the lower edge of the hood. i'd post pics, but i'm so pissed off i don't even want to look at it again. so my choices are 1) return to dealer now and have them fix it, or 2) wait until the next scheduled maintenance (about 3k more miles). I'm leaning towards the latter.
Elevens, Tobler, etc...those of you who have pulled the bumper cover...do you think there's an easy way to fix this w/o returning to the dealer? Trying to weigh the hassle factor of doing it myself vs. dealer.

Try reading my CC mod, all the info you need is there.
If you haven't done it before, it's a hassle. I'd recommend taking it back to the dealer and hope they don't screw up something else while they're poking around.

CC Mod

Gotta remove the entire bumper to align AFAIK. I'm in love with my sig too :P
It would take me about a couple hours to loosen the bumper, re-align, and then tighten with the right tools. But I go slow with these things and like to make it just right. Like i said, if you've never removed the bumper, save yourself the headache and take it back. Unless of course you like doing these things. Why not do the CC mod at the same time

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/86930.phtml</a
