rs4 chip

I am using REVO
and happy with it.. Dont expect massive gains tho. It is mostly to smooth out the power curve and according to my butt dyno all it does is some improvements in mid range. Top end gains will have to be tested on dyno to see any difference. Not to say that there is no gains to report at peak rpm, but it is just not noticable by simply driving the car to work daily.

Re: LOL, they're marginal at best
on my second day of rs4 ownership the car flooded in the torrential downpour we had in miami tonight. car won't start, hopefully it will dry out and start in the morning? Any suggestions? i might have to tow it ot the dealer, shame the car only has 200 miles

I'm sorry to hear that...
is there water damage to the entire car? If so, I'd get your insurance involved right away.
The only other suggestion I can think of you already thought of...try and start it later and if it won't, have it towed to the dealer.

I don't agree
I've been a pretty adamant skeptic of NA tuning, and I'm eating my hat after getting a Revo flash on Thursday.
The car feels more willing to rev now, pulls strongly in the mid and high rpm ranges with no flat spots, and the exhaust note is more aggressive. I'm in a stock car and have compared it with a friend who drives an RS4 (also stock) without mentioning that I have a flash and he made the above comments.
While some may argue that the gains are 'not worth it' at that price, it cannot be said that the gains are not more than noticeable, and I personally felt that the gains were well worth the EUR999 I paid for my flash.
I come from a background of tuning Evos for track duty and am accustomed to the sort of gains FI'd cars get from a reflash and some basic bolt-ons, so while 20 bhp sounds measly for that price, I have to admit that I am satisfied with the gains, and mind you, I'm one picky and stingy SOB.

They all void the warranty....
if discovered. Basically if anything controlled by the ECU fails, the warranty claim is likely to be denied. That is a lot of stuff.
Remember, we are all driving a $35K A4 with a $40K drivetrain in it. I am not willing to risk that level liability for max 20bhp (4.7%) increase in HP.
There is no BMW-DINAN equivalent for Audi that upgrades performance yet still provides a warranty. You chip it, you void the warranty.
