Default RS4 clutch problems...help

Ok, so i took delivery of my rs4 a feew days ago put about 200 miles on it...love it. today, when i went to shift from second to thrid at about 4500rpms the clutch was very heavy and hard to press down; much harder to depress than usual. limping the car back home i realized the higher the rmps i shifted at the harder the clutch was to push down. going into first from neutral at a stop, the clutch seemed almost normal but it was still harder than usual.

i was driving the car earlier today and was perfect. i have no idea where this problem came from, i have not been abusing it what so ever, maybe gone a little past 7,000 rpms but that has nothing to do with the clutch, no hard launches, nothin. please any imput would be nice
thanks

sounds like you should be talking to your dealer.

And by "talking" you mean "smacking around"...

Default RS246.com European RS site has some good info for all US buyers as to what to expect.

They had the car for a few years and seem to be primarily experiencing the same clutch issue on a few of the cars and high oil consumption on most. Some owners seem to be topping off their oil every 1000 to 1500 miles others never. I asked my dealer before my order got placed and he said that it is the nature of the high rev engine to burn oil. I think the clutch is just a sporadic issue they have yet to resolve. Sorry but it sounds like just bad luck on your part.

Default I'd still take it in and have it checked out..

Wouldn't you rather know what that was and play it safe?

Default was at dealership today, asked to see the avus RS4. Salesman says

it is in the shop to repair a "clutch problem" they had on the car. The car hasn't even been test driven yet. It's only had the wrap and the shipping blocks removed so far.

All owners should definitely monitor and post if they have similar symptoms.

Default personally, I take the car in to the dealer when it doesn't work right.

as foreign as that concept may seem to you, it always results in the car being fixed.
