Default RS4 DRC Question
Apologies in advance if this was already asked, but I could not find an answer via search.

My RS4 is in for its 15k mile service and the dealer discovered two (1 front and 1 rear) leaking shocks. They are expediting four new shocks from Germany (or so they say) to be installed in the next days. Does anyone know if these are revised units like they are offering for the 2003 RS6, or are they the same shocks with chances of failures again? TIA

Default Wow blast from the past, Viken how you doin' these days?
They replaced my front shocks about 2 months ago so I'd doubt there are any 'old' shocks left but you never know. The new shocks have the same part number as old but ending with a "-b" extension.

Well they're not leaking and it seems to be handling well. Still crossing my fingers though...

Default Did they replace the Central valve? it's supposed to be replaced whenever something leaks...
or did they have a tool to re-fill it? (b-stock, eh)

Default No they did not. Front two shocks and they had to wait for a recharge tool from AOA.
I gather that this tool recharges the system.
