Do you agree with how that statement is worded?

Consider, if you go to Audiusa.com, you have to click on "A4" at the top of the screen in order to find details about the various A4, S4, and RS4 models.

So, it would seem that Audi regards the RS4 as a "subclass" of the general A4 category.

Does it trouble you as an S4 or RS4 owner to have your car categorized in such a way? Or should it have its own category because in your mind the cars are so different?

It doesn't trouble me, but I wonder how RS4 owners, who paid a bigger premium, feel about this.

In the same way that I would say the Mini is the cheapest BMW you can buy. An M3 is still a 3 series. An RS4 comes off the line as an A4.

I think I know where you are going with this, but it doesn't change anything.

Phantom RS

Just seeing how people feel about it. I see reviews all the time that say something to the effect of "the S4 (or RS4) should look different than an A4, given how different the engine, suspension, etc is". Those statements always perplex me. A buddy of mine who is a BMW driver always says I drive a nice VW. So I reply that he has a nice Mini... along the same reasoning he uses. I suppose I should say I have a de-tuned Lambo or P-car.
