RS4 needs a home...
An RS4 is a 'last chance vehicle' at CarMax?!?!
Sorry for current RS4 owners, but that type of pricing may make me re-think buying a used B7 S4 this fall.

http://www.carmax.com/dyn/search/searchresults.aspx?N=4294963322</a

The Imola colour is the challenge selling this vehicle. $53K isn't too far
off the mark IMHO and who knows what condition it's in. BTW, it's the only RS4 Carmax has for sale nationwide.
Autotrader OTOH lists 67 used RS4s for sale ranging from $53K to $70K+ with an average of $61K. That's probably closer to market but please, feel free to stay away from B7s of any stripe.

It's not just the RS4's...
Prices on ALL one to five year old used cars are crashing hard. It is even happening to normally depreciation-resilient brands and models. The only exception is the handful of very limited production collectible exotics.

Re: RS4 needs a home...
i honestly don't get why the prices aren't dropping faster than they are with the impending B8 A4 platform, and with the MB C63 and M3 starting in the high 50's vs the high 60's for the rs4. maybe it's bc the s5 prices/availability right now sucks, but if these go to the low 50's with less than 20k im gona be all over it.

is imola the same that was on the b5 s4? all the pics make it look paler than what i remember. if it is the same it is a sweet color though pretty loud if you want to be subtle.
